Here’s a funny one. There’s a photo of me and my cat Scamper in a new book!

Last year we took Scamper on vacation with us to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. One of our outings was the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge (one of our favorite places to see black bears) and I took Scamper for a walk on his leash. Cristina took this awesome photo of us:

A friend of Cristina’s told her there was a photo competition for an upcoming book about guys being crazy cat ladies. Clearly I fit the profile. (Scamper is my little bubby wubby baby boy yes he is.) So we submitted the pic and it got accepted! The prize? This free copy of the book which arrived in the mail. It’s out in bookstores now if you or someone you know is a cat guy. And it’s pretty funny. Scamper is happy to autograph any copies for you.
